Re: Gary Hernandez; week ten blog..

Re: Gary Hernandez; week ten blog.
Boston prosecutors will tell Attorney General Eric Holder this week whether they think marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should face the death penalty. The feds disclosed the timetable during a status hearing Tuesday. The judge said he wants a final decision from Holder by Jan. 31. It could be more than a year before Tsarnaev, 20, goes to trial on charges that he built and planted pressure-cooker bombs that killed three people and injured more than 260 near the finish line of the iconic April 15 race.
He was not in court for the hearing, but his lawyers asked the judge lift so-called "special administrative measures" that restrict his contact with the outside world while he's held in federal lockup at Fort Devens. They also complained that prosecutors have not turned over all the evidence they're supposed to, including information tying their client's brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, to a 2011 triple homicide.  Please access the article below for additional information in your quest to respond to the questions below.
Do you think Tsarvaev should receive the death penalty? If not what charges would you give him?
What punishment do you think his brother deserves?

Re: Week nine; Lourdes Rodriguez. October 28-November 3, 2013.

Hello everyone! Welcome to week nine of the blogs!!!!
A South Texas convenience store owner was arrested on September 29, 2013.  According to authorities, a 39 year old man came into the store in an attempt to steal a case of beer before fleeing. However, Rodney James Duve, the store owner, shot and killed the man before he could get away with his beer.
So 52 year old Duve was arrested at the store and the suspect was taken to the hospital but later pronounced dead. Do you believe that Rodney Duve’s actions were reasonable why/why not?  Do you believe Duve was protecting himself why/why not?

Re: Week eight; Marisol Zaragoza. October 21-27, 2013. Hello everyone, I would like to bring your attention to a headline that I am still trying to conceptualize; how did an inmate create a shank from a comb? Nonetheless, on September 9th, 2013, Abraham Pearson also known as Derrick White escaped from the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice; he used a comb fashioned into a shank to stab a deputy multiple times in the neck. After he stabbed the deputy, he took the deputy’s clothes and keys and escaped using the prisoner elevator. It was noted Pearson was scheduled to be sentenced in Wayne County Circuit Court to serve a possible 15 years in prison for carjacking and robbery against a fifty year old female. What measures do you think could have been implemented to prevent escape such as this incident? Additionally, what do you think would be a reasonable sentence for Pearson? http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/09/09/michigan-prisoner-escape/2786111/

Re: Week seven; Franciso Reyes. October 15-20, 1013.

Hello everyone! I am shocked to hear that a lady allegedly disguised herself and proceeded to murder several bus drivers in Ciudad Juarez approximately a month earlier. A woman wearing a blond wig or maybe her hair was dyed boarded one of the school bus style vehicles which serve as transport in Ciudad Juarez for the citizens. Hence, she would approach various bus drivers the driver and reached for her pistol and shoot the drivers in the head and leave abruptly. The next day, apparently the same women did exactly the same thing to another driver on the same route. Media outlets began receiving emails from the address “Diana the hunter of bus drivers “this is what she said "We seem weak to society, but we're truly not. We're courageous and, if they don't show respect to us, we will make them respect us by our own means. We women of Juarez are strong." Additional information which was not noted previously; she reportedly says in the e-mails that her motive is retaliation against bus drivers who have raped vulnerable women, especially those who work in the "maquiladoras," or foreign assembly plants (mainly American) on the Mexican side of the border. Also, Juanita did a marvelous job as she noted the following... Thanks Juanita for the clarification. Actually, Fransisco didn't mention this, but the reason why she keeps killing this bus drivers is because they had previously rapped women. And they had gone unpunished for their crimes. But since this was not mentioned i get why you would think this way. Do you think she did the right thing of killing these bus drivers? What is your perspective regarding this incident as well as the email she sent to the police officer?

Re: Week Six; September 30- October 6, 2013; Rolondo Rodriguez

Hello everyone, welcome to week six. As it relates to International Adoption Services most families are clueless as it relates to the extensive work involved when adopting and raising children that have been assigned to this agency. In fact, it has been noted a lot of families feel hopeless as it relates to providing for the children, so they result to tactics which encompasses visiting an underground chat room to give their children away to strangers and in most cases child predators. From my perspective, I believe American families should not be adopting International children without a background check. Additionally, it has been noted orphans like Nora Gateley are treated harshly e.g. “digging their own graves”. Do you believe in proposing and implementing laws which would be stricter when it pertains to adopting children? Should the American government prohibit citizens from adopting children that are not from our particular country? http://investigations.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/09/10/20390206-unwanted-adopted-children-traded-online-in-underground-network?lite

Re: Week five, September 24-30, 2013; Jonathan Ramos 5th.

Hello everyone, a woman called 911 in need of help after her ex-boyfriend tried to knock down her door. The man later placed his car in front of her drive way, so she could not get out. The operator then said that they could not do anything about it, so they transferred her to another police department. The reason that they did not help is because of the budget cuts regarding public safety. In August of 2012, the woman called for help after her violent ex-boyfriend appeared at her front door. Hence, she was transferred to state police because the local sheriff’s department did not have full time staff, however she did not receive help from them either. Henceforth, her ex-boyfriend entered her home and sexually assaulted her. What is your perspective about the budget cost associated with the cuts within the criminal justice system which has resulted in less security measures etc.? What measure should be implemented to address sexual assaults? Please note the video link in pasted below for you to review at your leisure. The url is noted below as it relates to the 911 video for you all to view prior to posting your perspective. http://foxnewsinsider.com/2013/05/30/oregon-woman-raped-after-911-call-goes-unanswered

Re: Week four; September 16-20, 2013. Jose Sanchez 5th period.

Hello everyone, welcome to week four of our fantastic blogging. Hence, I would like to share with you all my noted topic for the week. It was noted on September 20, 2013 in Central Florida police officers were called to Shellie Zimmerman’s home; she reported that her husband George Zimmerman had pointed a firearm at her as well as her father. Shellie Zimmerman informed police she had filed for a divorce weeks prior to this incident. Hence, police officers believe this was the primary reason George Zimmerman confronted his wife Shellie Zimmerman and her father when he pulled a pistol and pointed it in their direction. Based on George Zimmerman continued misjudgments/ misuse of firearms e.g. pointing and threatening his wife as well as father do you think the jury missed the warning signs when they acquitted George Zimmerman in July for shooting and killing an unarmed teenager? Do you agree or disagree why or why not? http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/09/09/george-zimmerman-gun-incident-florida-trayvon-martin/2788443/

Re: Week three, September 9-15, 2013. Amy Perez; 5AB.

Extra, Extra, Read all about it!!!!! Hello everyone, as I was viewing the news I was intrigued by an event which involve an individual impersonating a police officer. I was appalled, in this day and time how one cannot distinguish the difference between police officer and an imposter posing as a police officer. Nonetheless, Miami police are looking for victims of 26-year-old Luis Fumero, who is accused of impersonating a police officer. It was noted Fumero robbed elderly victims and illegal immigrants. Fumero was arrested on August 20, 2013 and faces several charges including armed robbery and falsely impersonating an officer. Police said they have at least three cases against Fumero possibly more. Do you think laws should be stricter as it relates to police uniforms being accessible to the public? Why or Why not? What do you think would be a reasonable sanction for individuals impersonating police officers?
