Hello everyone,
Welcome to week fourteen!!!
Arthur
Morgana III, of Eatontown, is accused of tossing his 2-year-old daughter into a
creek. Arthur weighed down the car seat
with a tire iron. He is charged with killing his daughter Tierra Morgan- Glove.
Prosecutors assert Morgan planned (premeditation) to murder the toddler, so he
could show her mother and the world that he was control.
The
lawyer for a Monmouth County man charged with tossing his 2-year-old daughter
into a creek while still strapped into her car seat says the real question for
the jury is not whether he did it, but whether he was thinking clearly that
night.
Additional
details: Arthur Morgan III, of Eatontown, is accused of weighing down the seat
with a tire-changing jack so it would sink. He is charged with killing his
daughter, Tierra Morgan-Glover.
1)
Do you believe that he acted deliberately or recklessly as his life spiraled
downward?
2)
New Jersey does not have a death penalty so what would you sanction Arthur
Morgan with?

ReplyDeleteI strongly beleive that he acted deliberately, he killed his daughter trying to prove a point showing to his wife that he was in charge. He intentually killed his daughter. He conciously planned the murder. I think that he should have 55 years in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Denise. He definitly knew what he was doing. I have no problem with the punishment you would gve him.
Deletei agree Denise he knew what he was doing. The thought he put into making sure that his daughter was dead is just so brutal and cruel. i think he should have to serve 55 years in prison as well and with no parole
DeleteI totally agree with you Denise, he definitly knew what he was doing to his daughter and he knows he was just trying to prove a point. He should be responsible and I would give him life in prison without parole.
DeleteI strongly agree with you Denise. He knew exactly what he was doing for the fact that he tried to prove to the girl’s mother that he was in control. He took the time to plan his daughter’s murder. He weighed down the car seat with a tire-changing jack so it would sink. I believe that would have taken time and he could have thought about his wrong doing. He is sick and cruel, what parent would think about causing any harm to their children. I would sentence him to life without parole.
DeleteSo right Denise; the man was already aware of what he was doing while planning the idea of weighing down the car seat with a tire changing jack so his daughter would sink to prove his "point". He definitely deserves life in prison for what he has done.
DeleteI agree with you, Denise. He should get a strong punishment for the crime he committed. He knew exactly what he was doing, he planned the whole thing just to prove a point.
DeleteI agree with you, Denise. Although I do feel that he should receive a stronger punishment. Like life in prison without parole. Do to the fact that he killed a small child.
DeleteI don't think he should get just 55 years in prison. He premeditated his daughters death. He deserves life in prison! He is sick in the mind and does not deserve to be back in this world!
DeleteI agree sentence with counseling for his mental dsable that he was passing though. It's hard for someone to kill a love it had to be planned in his mind.
DeleteI agree with you about this man planning the murder of his 2 year old daughter. This man does deserve 55 years in prison. If only he was in Texas, he would be sentenced to the death penalty.
DeleteYou are most certainly right Denise. He wanted to prove a point-less view in this eyes to the world and as well as to his own wife. He is accountable to actions and there should be greatly puinshed.Only if the sentencing was more severe in this case.
DeleteI think its obviouse that he killed his daughter. Weather, he was thinking clearly or recklessly or not. He should should take full resposibility for his actions, and face maximum punishment.
ReplyDeleteyes i totally agree with you Jessie he should be charged with murder and take full responsibility of his actions. His daughter was just an innocent young girl and the fact that he could just kill her in such a brutal way shows that he does not belong out on the streets
DeleteYes, I agree with you Jessie he totally knew what he was doing he might have not thought of the consequences but he still committed the crime so he should do the time.
DeleteYes, I agree as well with what you said Jessie because he planned it! He had it figured out so he knew what he was doing all along. If he wanted to feel in control for whatever he wanted to feel in control for well then this wasn’t the way of proving so because it caused HIS daughter’s death! As for punishment, yes I agree he should have the maximum punishment and its sad that the death penalty isn’t available in New Jersey. To be honest I personally would not find justice with life in prison.
DeleteI agree with you Jessie, he shouldn't be able to step foot outside of prison for killing his daughter just to prove something to other people. Thats clearly an idiotic thing to do.
DeleteI agree that he faces big charges in the killing of his daughter. He will need help to get through his hard times in life like this situation.
DeleteYes, I agree with you about this man knowing what he was doing. He does deserve to face big charges, as well.
DeleteI believe that he knew exactly what he was doing. Morgan killed his daughter and he should be charged with murder. If he felt that he had to show his wife that he was in charge then there must be some problems with him and in my opinion he should not get off without any justice he robbed his daughter Tierra Morgan of her bright future and should be sentenced to 50 years in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree. He took away her right to live , she could have became a great woman. I do agree with your sentencing the more years the better.
DeleteI agree with you when you say Morgan knew what he was doing. He wasn't crazy or insane, he knew he was going to take his daughter's life away and did it willingly. In my opinion, I truly believe that he didn't care about his daughter. No human being would take their child's life as if it were nothing. As for his sentencing, I believe he should get life in prison with no parole. His daughter will never see daylight again and neither should he.
DeleteYou are absolutely right, he is accountable for his actions being commited in this case. As for the sentencing, I would add another 40 years into his imprisionment.
DeleteI agree with Valerie that should be no reason to try and drown your child even if your life is going no where. He could have gave the child up for adoption instead of trying to kill her this man needs to be helped or giving the death penalty so yes I agree with Valerie 100%. Police Need to investigate if the man had an illness or some kind of disease With the brain.
DeleteI agree with you Valerie he should be accountable for his action. Morgana shouldn’t see another day of light for killing his 2 year old daughter that had no blame what so ever. He could of prove to his wife some other way not by killing an innocent little girl.
DeleteI believe that Arthur Morgan III knew what he was doing and deliberately killed his daughter as a show of force to the mother. He killed Tierra Morgan Glove and believed that he was able to get away with murdering her. I believe that the sanction Arthur Morgan should recieve is life without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Alex. Morgan III knew what he was doing. Especially since according to what I read it says he wanted to let the world basically know he was in power so apparently killing someone is showing that so called “power”. I think it’s not a justice to just give the man life in prison because to me it wouldn’t do much of a justice, the death penalty would. New Jersey’s a different state so death penalty isn’t allowed therefor life in prison would bring justice.
DeleteI agree with you, Julia and alex. I dont like the fact that New Jersey doesn't have the death penalty, but unfortunately its out of our hands. Life in prison is the only option.
DeleteI agree with you Alex. Morgan tried to make a point by doing a horrible thing. I also agree with him being in prison for his life with no parole; a life for a life. He chose to cut his daughter's life much too short and should be behind bars for the rest of his life. He knew exactly what he was doing and should be punished for his actions.
DeleteI agree with you Alex, Morgan should receive the life in prison without parole, since there is no death penalty in New Jersey. There is no other doubt for me than this sanction for taking the life of someone who was completely defenseless.
DeleteI agree with you Alex. Morgan knew exactly what he did and the results of what he was going to do. I also agree with your sentencing. Because, he killed a child who couldn't defend it's self.
DeletePersonally I believe that he did this act is deliberately. He knew what he was doing when he was doing what he did since he wanted to show that he was “in control”. The seat of the girl was sunken with her in it! It must have been a while to do so ,so he could have had enough time to think about it therefor I believe he knew what he was doing all that time and wasn’t recklessly. Since New Jersey does not have a death penalty the man should be put in life in prison and be given some type of punishment that will bring justice to family from the death of the child.
ReplyDeleteExactly! He even put a tire-changing jack so it would sink. That was most definitly intentional.
DeleteI agree with you Julia. He was in the right state of mind he knew exactly what he was doing and he also owned up to the crime. He had time to tie up stuff to the car seat to make sure she didn’t come up. Poor little girl was so innocent she had no idea why she was under water with no one to help her. Life forever in prison is his sentence.
DeleteI agree with you that he thought about the crime before he did it because he put his daughter in the seat an then he placed the crow bar on top of her. I also agree with you that he should get life in prison since he can’t get the death penalty.
DeleteI like how you mention that he had more than enough time to save the child after he threw her in the creek. Therefor, he should be given life in prison without parole.
DeleteYes I agree I believe he knew what he was doing and should be given the harsh punishment there is next to the death penalty since he can't receive it. This act of craziness was uncalled for this man must have been seriously mental or very sick to do something to a child line that his own flesh and blood. So yes a gree with life in prison!!
Delete1) I believe that Arthur Morgan lll acted deliberately knowing that he was going to kill his daughter purposely. The report states that he did it so "he could show her mother and the world that he was control." Morgan was obviously upset with the mother of the child about something, and took it out on that poor innocent baby.
ReplyDelete2) This father will learn in prison that he is most definitely not in control. If no death penalty, he needs life in prison without parole. This was a premeditated murder, and he deserves the maximum for killing his own daughter.
I agree with you Jazmin, he shouldnt be able to step foot outside of prison for killing his daughter just to prove something to other people. Thats clearly an idiotic thing to do.
DeleteJona is right, because the man shouldn’t be able to step a foot outside of jail one bit for killing his daughter and he intentionally did the crime so he has no right to step outside of that jail.
DeleteI strongly agree with Jona, this person shouldn't be able to step out of prison for the rest of his life because what he did was a cruel crime that he purposely did.
DeleteI believe that Morgan knew what he was doing. He took the time to tie a tire iron to his daughter's car seat and throw her into the creek. Morgan was trying to prove a point to the world and his daughter's mother that he was in control and unfortunately a little girl's life was taken away. I believe Morgan planned out exactly how and when he would kill his daughter knowing what the outcome would be. As for his sentence, I would like to say give him the death penalty but unfortunately, New Jersey doesn't have a death penalty. I would give Morgan life in prison with no parole because he knew what he was doing and was indeed in the right state of mind.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Morgan deserves death penalty. Since they don't have that, he needs the next best thing.
DeleteYes Jio I agree with you. No parole will be best for him. He shouldn’t be able to even see the outside world for doing something like that to an innocent little girl. Messing up her life that hasn’t even started yet. Poor little thing probably didn’t know what was going on.
DeleteI totally agree with you Jio. He needs life in prison for knowing exactly what he was doing. That little girl had no idea why she was drowning under the water with no one to help. She probably didn’t know why daddy had equipment tied to her car seat. I wished the outcome wasn’t a life lost and that he got help before something as tragic as this had to happen.
DeleteI support your decision to give Morgan life in prison without parole. He knew exactly what he was doing and the consequences for those actions.
DeleteI think that he acted deliberately when he killed his 2 year old daughter because he knew exactly what he was doing. He even premeditated her murder, so he was in his right mind when he decided to throw his daughter in a creek. Since there is no death penalty in New Jersey, I’d give him life in prison with absolutely no parole. He wouldn’t be able to even come in contact with the outside word in isolation.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Jona. They should give him the life sentence. But they should send him to Texas where the big boys are. I really think hell het the business down here. That is unacceptable to kill an innocent 2 year old toddler. But I agree with you all the way Jona.
DeleteI agree with your sanction too Jona, and that he should be isolated. But, I also think that he would need some sort of psychiatric help. This could help the case to find more evidence, and see Morgan's real state of mind.
DeleteI believe that Arthur knew what he was doing. They should really send him to Texas. For the Death penalty. Killing a toddler that did nothing to you is just insane. He was in his right mind that night because he planned this. Also who is he to sink a 2 year old in a creek to prove a point? He is just a Lawyer. He should be charged with murder.no questions asked< and even though he wanted to prove a point it still shouldn’t be questioned no matter what. He had enough time to think about what he did. He did act deliberatley.he wanted to prove that he was in control. But what was he in control of? Stupidity? Yes! He also did act recklessly in this situation .
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Bianca, really needs the death penalty. I mean if he can kill his own daughter to prove a point to his wife what make us think he won’t do anything more gruesome anyone else. There is no excuse for him to say he wasn’t in his right state of mind because he killed his daughter to show his wife.
DeleteI agree with you Bianca. If he had everything planned out to kill his OWN DAUGHTER, then why he couldn't plan to go get help? He had more than enough time to think before he did.
DeleteI agree with Bianca that he knew what he was doing, & sending him over to Texas for the death penalty is quiet an idea, he deserves to be in death row for killing a innocent toddler.
DeleteArthur Morgana III deliberately killed his 2 year old daughter when he tied a car iron to her car seat and threw her into the creek to prove to the child’s mother and the world that he was in control of his self. Morgana is in the wrong for doing what he did to his own child what kind of father would do that to his own daughter his flesh and blood to prove a point. My sanction to his crime would be two life terms in jail with no parole and make sure that he doesn’t get out in. The state of New Jersey should have a death penalty for cases such as this one here.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Kristina the State of New Jersey should have the death penalty for cases such as these. It honestly seems like to me in a way he is getting away with the murder of his own daughter. I really do believe that he should never be able to step foot back out into our society.
DeleteI strongly agree that New Jearsy should have the death penalty for such cases. I just wish that New Jearsy officials would send them to a state where they have the death penalty.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Arthur Morgan acted deliberately because he was trying to prove a point that he is in control. His actions were not because he wasn’t in the right state of mind it’s because he’s psychotic and needs all the help he can get. New Jersey needs to re-think the death penalty because of situations like this. This little girl had no idea why she was in a creek drowning with no one to help. She is as innocent as can be and she deserves justice this man should be put away for life with no possibility of parole. A person like this shouldn’t be able to just walk away.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you, this man is a danger to society. If he did that to his own flesh and blood, imagine what he would do to someone who wasn't. Like you said the two year old was completely innocent and without fault. She did not deserve to die in such a horrible way. As for your comment on the death penalty , I have to agree with you. Usally I'm not with it because sometimes the justice system makes mistakes. But for this case I'm all for it.
DeleteI agree that the 2 year old girl was at no fault and didn't deserve to die. However as for the death penalty I believe he should get it because he had planned it out and if he had planned it out then he knew what he was doing.
DeleteHe definitely planned his daughter's death; he just wanted to prove he was in control. Morgan is wrong for the death of his daughter there was no need for him to prove anybody he was in control or that he wanted to show his daughter's mother that he was in control because she was not guilty or aware of the issues the parents had. Since in New Jersey there's no death penalty he should get life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Jackie. He was thinking clearly enough to plan his daughter's death, he was aware of everything going on. Also the daughter wasn't aware of the issues her parents were going through. He could have handeled the situation differently.
DeleteI agree Jackie he knew what he was doing was wrong. He deserves life for the murder of a toddler. He shouldn't have killed her to prove something.
DeleteI agree with you Jackie a man like Arthur deserves life in prison. What he did to his daughter was unnecessary. There wasn't a reason for him to do all that.
DeleteI agree with Jackie, an innocent child lost her life due to her father's actions. Tierra was just a baby and she was incapable of defending herself from her father. Arthur must serve.his time for deliberately murdering Tierra Glove.
DeleteI do think that Morgan did take his daughter's life deliberately, because of what was stated that he wanted to show her mother and the world that he was in control. This, in my opinion, points to that he was in control of his own actions, but then again he will need psychiatric help. This is because I'm wondering, what made him not feel in control that drove him to this measure? As to the sanction I would give Morgan I would give him life in prison without parole. If the blog could go into a bit more detail there could be evidence that points out to many different directions as to where this case could go.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the blog needs more details, because I feel like I don't know the whole story. I also agree with the sanction that you gave Morgan for his crime. But with what I'm not sure about is if Morgan needs psychiatric help. I suppose that be easier to decide if we had more information regarding his health. Like did have any mental history? Did he show signs of instability? Has he been violent with others? Things like that, that way we can understand him better.
DeleteI agree Cesar if the blog was more detailed we could have known if this could have been stopped. This man should have psychiatric help through out his life. Your correct he was in charge of his life and he selfishly took away his innocent's daughter's life as well. The wife should have taken greater caution to when Morgan stated " He wanted to show whom was in control"
DeleteFirstly, I can not believe that this man, who was so suppose to protect his daughter could do such a thing! Instead of being a loving, caring father he turns out to be a monster. He obviously killed his daughter deliberately. I guess he figured that this was the only way to get his message of control across. Which I think is incredibly horrifying and selfish. Scince New Jersey does not uphold the death penalty, I would give him life in prison. I believe it's only fair because he took his daughter's life, so I think he shouldn't continue to enjoy his.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you Juanita!! He acted selfishly and took his own innocent daughter's life away, who knew what should could accomplish. Morgan should not at all be able to enjoy his life and I hope this haunts him everyday of his life. I wish the blog was more detailed so we could have known his history to see if this could have been stopped.
DeleteI agree with you, a father is supposed to love you. For him to get his message through like that was very wrong. I agree with you on life in prison. Now that he is going to sit in prison regretting kill his baby girl.
ReplyDeleteThis man is clearly in the wrong state of mind, he was thinking unconsious thoughts that caused him to drown his innocent daughter. He acted deliberately! Morgan knew excatly what he was doing, he first wanted to prove a point then he went on to tie a tire iron Tierra's carseat. What parent would want to kill there child? This is sick and cruel. Morgan did not prove that he was in control he proved that he is a coward and takes the easy way out, if he wanted to prove his theory he should of went on to becoming a Manager or CEO of a company.
ReplyDeleteI would charge Morgan with life in prison, no chance ever for parole, to be in a Psychiatric unit and to forever remember that he will never be able to watch his daughter grow up because of his idiotic mistakes.
I agree with you when you say Morgan knew what he was doing. He wasn't crazy or insane, he knew he was going to take his daughter's life away and did it willingly. In my opinion, I truly believe that he didn't care about his daughter. No human being would take their child's life as if it were nothing. As for his sentencing, I believe he should get life in prison with no parole. His daughter will never see daylight again and neither should he
DeleteI agree with you Alexis Cano. Morgan knew exactly what he was doing because he committed the crime to prove to Tierra Morgan- Glove’s mother and the world that he had control. I strongly agree with you, this is sick and cruel. I do not understand why any parent would want to hurt or harm their children.
DeleteThis murder had to be premeditated murder for the fact that he felt like he needed to kill his 2 year old daughter, and then make sure that the mother knew he was under control. He was undoubtedly deliberately did this, and the fact that he held the car seat with tire iron should be evidence enough. He should to be sentenced to life, and honestly I believe he deserves the death penalty. He it makes no since to say that he wasn’t thinking with a clear mind if that the case then he needs to seek some psychiatric treatment. The sad part of this whole thing is to sounds like he doesn't even care that he just killed his daughter.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Precious. He actually planned his daughter's murder just to prove to her mother that he was in control. I also agree that he does deserve life in prison. Any person with a clear mind can plan anything and he planned this, so I believe he was thinking very clearly. Don't you think that New Jersey should begin the death penalty?
DeletePrecious you’re completely right; he wanted to prove a point with killing his daughter. He wanted everyone to know that he was in control. He deserves to be sentenced to life in prison. This man is lucky that he lives in New Jersey because in this state he would be giving the death penalty.
DeleteI believe Arthur was acting deliberately because he killed his daughter trying to show his wife and the world that he has control of everything. Yet, he had this planned already and I just can’t believe he really killed his 2 year old daughter, Tierra Morgan- Glover. Hence, if New Jersey doesn’t have a death penalty then in my perspective to sanction Arthur Morgan III I will give him 50 years in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that he acted deliberately because he wanted to show his wife that he was in control. I do not agree with you in the sanction that you gave him because he can get more years then what you gave him.
DeleteI agree with you Crystal, Arthur most likely planned the murder of Tierra Glover. Arthur wanted the world and his daughter's mother that he was the one in control. Arthur did not act recklessly because he was aware of what he was doing.
DeleteI believe that Arthur knew what he was doing. He wanted to prove a point, that is that he was in control.Morgan killed his daughter and he should be charged with murder. In my opinion i think the athoritites should send him to texas so he can receive the death penalty.Since in New Jersey there's no death penalty he should get life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your statement, and the punishment for Arthur. He should receive life in prison without parole, but I disagree with bringing him to Texas. I believe by bringing him to Texas, would be a hassle and he should stay in New Jersey.
Deletehe acted very deliberately, he knew exactly what he was doing and how to do it he wasnt thinking straight at all he was just trying to prove a point to his wife that he was in charge and he thought this through and if i was the judge id give him life in 60 years in prison
ReplyDeleteI agree he did know what he was doing. He thought he had to commit a crime in order to prove something to his daughter's mother. I disagree with the punishment he deserves life in prison in the murder of a two year old.
DeleteI agree with you, Oscar. He knew exactly what he was doing. He didn't have to commit a crime to prove something, especially not kill his own daughter.
DeleteI don't agree . I don't see how he couldn't have been thinking . We are talking about a human . This is his own daughter . What is there to think about . Proving a point or not this isn't right at all . I don't see how being in "charge " makes you kill your daughter . In my perspective he isn't right . He's a cruel man .
DeleteHe acted deliberately;if he planned the crime then he knew what he was doing. He wanted to show the daughter's mother and the world that he was in control. Since New Jersey does not have a death penalty i would give the criminal life in prison with no chance of parole for capital murder on his daughter.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your sentencing because he is no one to take the life of another, regardless of him being the father or not. Life in prison isn't even a sufficient enough punishment for his crime.
Delete1. I believe Arthur acted very deliberately. He knew exactly what he was doing because he wanted to show everyone who was in control. I can't overlook the fact that he planned his daughter's death. I don't believe he was not thinking clearly. He wanted to prove something, so he murdered his child. Morgen should be charged with murder. There's no doubt in my mind that he shouldn't.
ReplyDelete2. If I was the judge in this situation I'd give Mirgan two life sentences. He took his daughter's life and he deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.
Arthur Morgan did act deliberately. He planned out the murder and went through with it. I don't think he felt any remorse for what he did, therefore he deserves life in prison without parole.
DeleteI agree that Morgan intentionally planned out his daughter murder. It's sad to believe that his two year old daughter would've loved him through anything and yet he's the one who killed her. I agree with your sentencing as to giving him life in prison. He cannot be given the chance to be out in the streets.
DeleteI believe that the father was acting deliberately because he knew what tools to use. I believe that he thought about the action for quite some time. One way or another I don’t understand how a father would do that to their child. If I were to sentence him I would give him life in prison without parole. I would also give him the right to have counseling because apparently his mind is not stable.
ReplyDeleteI believe the type of tool used doesn’t really matter he could of used something heavier than the selected object. I do believe he planned it also but acted upon it very recklessly. He doesn’t deserve counseling because he should suffer with the fact that he killed his own daughter who was top young to defend her own self.
DeleteI agree that the crime he committed seemed planned. His actions seemed consciously for him trying to prove a point. He should definitely receive counseling and get life in prison.
DeleteI strongly agree with you, probably he had it all plan out, because he put a weight on the car seat to make it sink faster. He obviously knew what he was doing since the plan took in action. He should stay in prison for the rest of his life.
DeleteHe acted in the most reckless way anyone could have reacted if there life went into total chaos. The child didn’t have anything to do with any of the conflict that was happening. She was basically tortured in drowning and not being able to escape. This isn’t in any way to show you’re in control of your life. The death penalty wouldn’t really solve anything at all especially in this case. He shouldn’t get asylum either because it’s just an easy way out also.
ReplyDeleteYes I think that it was abrupt for Arthur to do that but yet I do not think that it was so chaotic. Rolando, I agree with you but up to a certain point on what you say up to certain extend, just because of the words that you used and the info that you stated. I do believe that the death penalty will not resolve anything at all.
DeleteIn also agreeing with you Rolando, the child didn't do anything to do with the conflict. As well as it doesn't make sense in showing control.
DeleteIn my perspective, Arthur Morgan III knew exactly what he was doing because he had already planned the murder. Arthur Morgan III was thinking clearly because he did it to prove to the mother and the world that he had control and not only that but he toke the time of weighing down the car seat with a tire-changing jack so it would sink. It is so sad that a small and innocent child’s life was taken. I believe that he should be charged with capital murder and be sentenced to life in prison.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your perspective in Arthur Morgan the third, knowing exactly what he was doing since he actually was thinking about it for a while before the crime. It’s quite cruel to think about how the little girl died and how she would have struggled to live. I agree with your sentence
DeleteI agree with you both. Morgana acted recklessly with his crime and knew exactly what he was doing and knew everything he needed just to kill his young daughter. It's sickening to imagine how any parent can do this to their own. I also agree with sentencing him with life in prison.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteArthur Morgan was in full consciousness when he deliberately attempted to and successfully murdered his daughter for the vain reason to maintain his pride in exhibiting to his wife he held control. He planned out the whole scenario, therefore it was pre-meditated. Since New Jersey doesn't have a death penalty, Arthur Morgan should receive the next worse sentence: life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with your statement, and should receive the next worst punishment. He knew exact what he was doing. Arthur did all of this to prove a point to his wife, makes no sense. So, he should live with this murder on his conscious.
DeleteI also agree with you one hundred percent Maria. His act of murdering his daughter was deliberate. He knew from the beginning what he was planning to do with his daughter. So for that I agree with you, he does deserve the next worst punishment if he can not be sentenced to death.
DeleteI believe that the man was acting upon his decision, so therefore, he was being deliberately. Arthur drowned his daughter knowing that what he was using was not going to be able to keep her alive at all. Knowing that she was not going to survive he used the right tools to make her sink all the way down. For the second question I really cannot figure out whether the man did it intentionally or nor was he conscious of what was going around his surroundings. Yet I believe that he should at least get 30 to 60 years in prison with some type of parole.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with you, i believe the least amount of time he should serve should be life and the most should be the death penalty. Since he obviously can not serve the maximum penalty he should serve life in Prison.
Delete1.I believe that the man is old enough to know what he was doing. Therefore, I believe that he was being deliberately. Arthur drowned his daughter knowing that what he was using wasn't going to let his daughter survive.
ReplyDelete2. Since they don't have the death penalty in New Jersey I would give Arthur 60 years In prison without parole. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison for what he did to his daughter. It's sad knowing that he killed his own daughter.
I disagree with your sanction. Why wouldn't you give him life instead if he deserves to spend the rest of his life behind bars. 60 years gives him a small ounce of hope that he could return to society and i don't think that's fair to his daughter who will never be able to grow old.
DeleteYes i do believe that he acted recklessly. I think that he was so anxious to show control that he let his anger take over. He failed to realize that children don't care about control or power all they want are loving parents. He killed the one person that would've loved him through anything. Since new jersey doesn't have the death penalty i think he should get life in prison.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe that Arthur Morgana III knew what he was doing, because he planned out everything for the murder. So therefore, he acted deliberately to prove a point to his wife. He knew exactly what he did and what tools to use for the murder of his 2 year old daughter. He failed to realize that his daughter would do anything to keep him happy and I am very disgusted by this man and his actions. Since New Jersey does not have a death penalty, I would give him life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe that Arthur Morgan lol knew what he was doing, he planned all of this just to make it seem like an accident, heddefinitely knew what was going on.
ReplyDeleteI believe they should sentence him 50 years in prison to life.
There is no doubt in my mind that Arthur Morgana III knew exactly what he was doing. He took the time to plan the murder of his daughter just to prove that he controls everything to his wife. I can't imagine how any parent can kill their own 2 year old child in return for some sort of sense of "power". This little girl's family deserves justice therefore since there is no death penalty in New Jersey I would give Morgana life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe that Arthur deliberately comitted the murder of his two year old daughter. Arthur has no justification for ending the life of an innocent child. Therefore, he should pay for his crimes by receiving life without parole since there is no death penalty in New Jersey. The alleged motive for his crime adds to demonstrate how horrendous his crime is.
ReplyDeleteI believe Arthur acted very deliberately. He knew exactly what he was doing because he wanted to show everyone who was in control. He had planned her murder so we can't say he wasn't thinking clearly. As for his sanction I would give him life in prison with no chance of parole. I also believe that New Jearsy should have a death penalty for crimes like this.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you Juan. He did deliberately did this. His crime was planned. I think New Jersey should consider having the death penalty.
DeleteWith the consent of this happening, I believe that with the cause of this he deliberately did this not recklessly. I don't know why it was on the top of his head to kill a baby. Knowing that New Jersey doesn't have a death penalty, life in prison and a watchful eye on him if he intentionally decides to commit suicide.
ReplyDeleteI agree, he did not do this recklessly rather deliberately. He intentionally killed his two year old to prove a point to the mother because he knew that the little girl was her weakness. He killed the child because he was upset with the mother but that still does not justify his actions. He did what he did out of hate but he will pay for it in prison. He deserves life in prison without parole.
DeleteI agree with you, because he knew what he was doing he was completely foolish because he knows a baby can't escape. I also think he should spend the rest of his life in prison living with that in his head till the day he dies.
DeleteArthur deliberately committed this crime without a doubt. He planned and execute the idea of murdering his 2-year old daughter by drowning her in her seat with a tire iron to prove his point in control. I really can't believe anyone would commit such crime just fell in control. For committing that crime he should be sentenced to prison for life without a chance of parole.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with you, how can someone kill their own child? He was trying to prove a point but that was not the right decision to make. He deserves to go to prison for the rest of his life. Once in there he will truly see who is in control. That was the worst way to kill a two year old. She had no way of screaming for help or even trying to escape because she was strapped in.
DeleteI believe Arthur Morgan acted deliberately because he knew what he was doing. He tried to prove that he was in total control, but by killing his daughter he only proved that he was nothing but a coward. He planned to murder her thinking he would get away with it. His mindset was that by drowning her the police would not find her body due to the tire-changing jack weighing her down. Since, there is no death penalty in New Jersey he should receive life in prison without parole. In prison he will then find out who is in control.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe he acted deliberately, he knew what he was doing. He planned to kill his daughter just to prove something to his wife. There's no justification for what he did & he shouldn't get away with this murder he committed. I believe he should be sentence life in prison without parole. He needs to pay for his crime.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely Ana. The fact that he would do this inhumane act to his daughter is terrible. I certainly hope he does serve life in prison without parole. He tried proving to his wife that he was in control ,but he didn't need to take his daughter's life to prove that.
DeleteMorgan acted deliberately because he wanted to prove a point to everyone that he was in control. So, to show that he was in control he murdered his daughter by drowning her. As a result, he is now arrested and is going to pay for his crime. I would give Morgan life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your statement. By him choosing that way to prove his point, then he was conscious of his actions. He should receive life in prison without parole.
DeleteI agree with you Ramiro. He wanted to prove a point to everyone that he was in control. And this man planned the killing of his 2 year old daughter. I would also give this insane man life in prison without parole. That way he'll have time to think about what he did.
DeleteI think the man acted deliberately. He knew what he was doing when he set the tire on the pedal. As for the Sanction I believe that he should be set for life in prison without parole. He knew that by sinking his car with his daughter inside would earn him a harsh sentencing.
ReplyDeleteMorgan should take responsibility for his actions whether he was thinking clearly or not. To me this is horrible act of violence, and I do believe he does deserve to be put away for a long time. I do think he acted deliberately and meant to take his daughters life. Since the death penalty isn't a option then life in prison is what he deserves.
ReplyDeleteI agree because he should not have taken an innocent child’s life and the fact that it’s his own daughter! He should get life in prison. I hope someone in there gives him what he deserves. I do not like having children killed just because they need to prove something so what ever he gets in prison he deserves it.
DeleteI agree, he did the crime he should do the time. He also should take responsibility cause he did kill his daughter just to make a point.
DeleteI believe he did do this deliberately. He taking such an innocent baby’s life is very cruel. If he had a problem with the mother then he should’ve talked it out with her. Even if he was thinking no one was listening to him then he should’ve went and got help so they can let him know that someone is listening to him. He should get life in prison without parole!
ReplyDeleteI agree he should have just talked it out with the mom and if not get help not kill an innocent child who was not even part of the argument. He should be punished severely for what he has done.
DeleteI agree that if you have a problem with the mother you need to sit down and talk to her. Not for you to kill you own baby girl. Killing an 2 year old is cruel.I like how you say that he should have gotten help. Life in prison is very good for him.
DeleteI think he acted recklessly because he killed his own daughter to prove a point, which I find rather sad. I do not like the fact that an innocent child was put into an argument to see who was right.
ReplyDeleteI would honestly sanction Arthur Morgan with life in prison without any possibility of parole, because I do not think it was right of him to just kill his daughter just to prove that he is in control which did not prove anything but that he is a murderer and needs to be punished or his actions.
I totally agree with you Nangel. Arthur had no right to put his two year old daughter in the middle of their problems. Though, I think it was deliberately instead but I can also see why you said recklessly. I concur with your sanction life in prison without parole.
DeleteMorgan was thiking recklessly because he did not care for what was going in his life killing his daughter. He should have gotten help in his situation that were hard for him.His sentence should be 60 years with parole so they can help with his mental state. He should be more aware what he does to other s without thinking the consequences. He will get help for his killing of his baby daughter.
ReplyDeleteJuan, I can honestly say why you said he did it recklessly but he did say he wants to only prove and show his wife who's in control. I'm pretty sure he was thinking due to the fact that he planned everything out right. Yet, wether he did it recklessly or not I do not agree with the sanction you gave him. Life in prison would be more accurate with no parole because no father should kill his 2 year old. Especially since she had nothing to do with their problems.
DeleteI disagree with you Juan. I honestly believe that he was thing not only because he planned to drown his own daughter but because he put chains all around the seat to make it sink. Also, he was trying to put prove a point to his wife that he was in charge.
DeleteI believe Arthur committed this crime consciously. By him wanting to prove that he had control; he should have been aware of what or how that point was going to be proven. He should be sanctioned with life in prison without parole. His actions seem deliberately,so he should receive the maximum sanction.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Zaira. Arthur did committed this crime consciously. Just to prove that he was in control, that is not smart of him. Arthur should have life in prison. He wasn't thinking at all.
DeleteYour reasons for life in prison without parole sound reasonable to me. Morgana did commit this murder purposely and for an unreasonable explanation. He should also possibly get some mental help for thinking this was okay to do to prove his point.
DeleteI belive Arthur Morgan acted recklessly by killing his own daughter. An innocent child was killed just to prove a point. He committed this without having knowledge of his actions.
ReplyDeleteI would sanction him to life in prison without parole. He committed the crime therfore he has to do the time.
I agree because he should not have taken an innocent child’s life and the fact that it’s his own daughter! He should get life in prison. I hope someone in there gives him what he deserves. I do not like having children killed just because they need to prove something so what ever he gets in prison he deserves it.
DeleteI agree with you Diana, his actions were reckless and I believe that he needs to be put in a mental home because clearly he’s not all there in the head.
DeleteThis man is clearly in the wrong for his actions. he was thinking unconsious thoughts that caused him to drown his innocent daughter who was in the middle of a debate . He acted deliberately! Morgan knew excatly what he was doing, he first wanted to prove a point then he went on to tie a tire iron Tierra's carseat. What parent would want to kill there child? This is sick and cruel. As a mother i couldnt imagine doing anything to my child . Like what why and how could you . Morgan did not prove that he was in control he proved that he is a coward and takes the easy way out and killing his own daughter.
ReplyDeleteI would charge Morgan with life in prison, no parole .
I agree with you Debeney. This man purposely drowned his young daughter. He knew exactly what he was doing. I would also give him the maximum sentence life in prison without parole.
DeleteI agree with you Debeney. Arthur did commit this crime consciously. Just to prove that he was in control, that is not smart of him. I would also give him the maximum sentence life in prison without parole.
DeleteI believe that Arthur Morgan III deliberately killed his 2 year old daughter. I mean he did it purposely to only show and prove his wife who's in control. No father should kill his daughter to only prove a point. He should have full responsibility over this case wether it was recklessly or deliberately. No one should take an innocent life of a child. I honestly think New Jersey should think of having the death penalty for such harsh cases like these because this is certainly unacceptable! Therefore I give Arthur Morgan III life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Angelica. Morgana should be sentenced to life in prison without parole do to his deliberate actions. However, I'm not sure if he would have the chance to be tried for the death penalty even if New Jersey did have the death penalty because there needs to be two crimes to have the possibility. I think life in prison is reasonable enough.
DeleteI honestly believe that this father knew exactly what he was doing. This man planned and killed his young 2 year old daughter, just to prove to his wife, that he is in charge. Do you really have to kill you innocent daughter, just to prove a point to your wife? It is not the child's fault. Although this man in a different state where they do not believe in the death penalty, I think he should receive 99 years in prison. If only he was in Texas, he would be sentenced to the death penalty!
ReplyDeleteYou are right Andrea. I agree with you. This father knew what he was doing. He is wrong for killing his 2 year old daughter. She was a innocent little girl that had nothing to do with anything. That is wrong for the father to do that.
DeleteI totally agree with you Andrea! Why kill anybody but yet a little innocent two year old thats your daughter, just to prove a point to your wife. I wish he was in Texas so he could get the death penalty, which he mostly deserves!
DeleteI agree with you Andrea. I would give him two life sentencing. No father should kill their child just to prove a point to somebody else. If he was in Texas he would get the death penalty for sure.
DeleteWow, that's just horrible! Killing an innocent two year just cause your life was not going so well that's sad. I strongly believe Morgana deliberately killed his two year old daughter by tossing het into a creek which his daughter was well strapped to the car seat well. I know this was not on purpose due to the fact he took the time to make sure his daughter was well strapped to the car seat but also had enough time to put weight on the car seat with tire changing jacks so the car seat will sink. Well since New Jersey does not have the death penalty (which I would give him) I would give him life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Gabrielle. Something so horrible like taking away your own daughter's life is horrible. I would also give him the death penalty, however, New Jersey does not allow that so I would also give him life in prison without parole.
DeleteI believe that this man is crazy and shouldn't be allowed to live among the rest of us. He planned the killing of his daughter, showing that he is a mastermind. By killing his young daughter this man showed everyone that he is not mentally right in the head and he needs to put away. I would give this man life in prison without the chance of parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you my fellow class mate he should be locked away for good he knew what he was doing. Their is lots of evidence proving that he did the crime hence the chaining o the seat to chains.
DeleteI strongly believe he acted deliberately, he knew what he was doing. He planned to kill his daughter just to prove to his wife who is the head and in charge of the family. There's no justification for what he did and he should nott get away with this murder he committed. I believe he should be sentence life in prison without parole. There needs to be justice for this crime.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you Angel. Morgan was trying to prove a point and only proved that he is mentally unstable. He lost a piece of him and with life in prison I'm sure he will learn his leasson. I believe that sanction will make him reminisce his mistake for the rest of his life.
DeleteI agree with Angel that Morgan deliberately killed his daughter. If there was a death penalty i would give it to him to end his senseless life.
DeleteArthur Morgana most certainly understood what he was doing. Wanting to prove a point to the whole world and to his own wife that he was in control was something no one may ever forgive. Morgana literally took his own 2-year old child’s innocent life away. He is most certainly entitled to his action and should be sentenced to life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Jose. He did take an innocent life away like it was nothing. He should also be checked in a mental institution.
DeleteI believe that Morgan deliberately kill his two year old daughter the innocence of an infant was taken away by a psychotic person.Morgan knew what he was doing because he even had time to put a weight on the car seat, and everything just to prove something which is compleatly foolish. I believe Morgan should have a life penalty because he took away a life for an idiotic thing.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you Jesse. Morgan knew exactly what he was doing. As you stated, Morgan was even applying additional weight to the car seat. I agree that Morgan should receive life penalty and also rehabilitation because he's menatlly I'll. No one in the correct state of mind will ever do such thing so recklessly.
DeleteI believe that Arthur knew what he was doing at the time. Just to prove a point to his wife that he is in control. Killing his 2 year old daughter. This man's head isn't right. I believe he should be sentence with life in prison since New Jersey doesn't have the death penalty.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Adrian. This man's head wasn't right at all. This man deserves the death penalty.
DeleteMorgan Arthur acted careless and deliberately in the action of killing his 2 year old daughter. There's no justification of what he did. He knew exactly what he was doing ,he saw his daughter drown in his own eyes and didn't do anything to save her. Although, he was trying to prove a point the only prove he point was that he is mentally unstable and he needs rehabilitation and a good 100 year sanction in prison. New Jersey should give him life in prison, so his conscious can kill him every day of his life.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you flor , this man is obviously mentally unstable and needs to be put away for a very long time. There is no justification as to why he killed his 2 year old daughter. I believe the man is sick and needs help.
DeleteThe fact that Morgana knew what he was doing and intentionally and knowingly planned to kill his own daughter means that he was acting deliberately. Morgana's excuse for the murder of his daughter, to prove that he is stronger, is not reasonable. I think he deserves life in prison without parole. He should also have some psychological therapy to help him.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe that Morgan acted very deliberatly and carless. The fact that he actually took the time to plan his 2 year old daughters murder is very sicking. I also believe that Morgan should mental examination because I don't know any adult in there right mind who would kill there on child espically just to prove a point. Because New Jersey does not have a death penalty , I would give Morgan life in prison without the possibility of parole.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you, Summer. I also believe Morgan acted extremely careless and should have a mental examination performed because he took a very long time to plan out the incident just to prove a point. I would also give him life in prison without parole.
DeleteI believe that even though your going through things and life is kicking you down you should never stoop to toss level. This man is a Monster for what he had try to do to his kid. there is really something wrong with this man.new jersey needs to set am example to the city criminals and give him the death penalty. Eben though they don't allow It nows the perfect Chance to re introduce it. So I strongly agree about giving this man the death penalty.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Joe , no matter how bad things are in anybody's life dose not make it okay for them to kill anyone. That's not any type of justification as to why Morgan killed his daughter. And as far as New Jersey reintroducing the death penalty to use Morgan as an example would be a great idea.
DeleteI agree with you Joe, other people should not have to pay for the mistakes that you have done in the past. Also New Jersey should set an example by giving him the death penalty.
DeleteI agree with you Joe. There is way many more ways to handle life rather than just killing a person. No one should ever feel like killing their own daughter to just prove a point of control. I believe he should get life in prison or the death penalty.
DeleteMorgan definitely acted recklessly because he knew exactly what he was doing when he killed his own daughter. However, he was too concerned on showing he was in "control" that he didn't think the consequences clearly. Morgan definitely has mental issues and should be sentenced to life in prison without parole. That way there is no chance in Morgan harming or putting other people's life in danger because if he was capable of killing his own daughter, you can only imagine whate else he could do to others.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Jackie, he should get life in prison without parole for his actions. Also he knew what he was doing so he should stay behind bars for the safety of others.
DeleteI also agree, a person that can not only kill their own daughter but plan it is someone with some really big issues. If he is capable of hurting his own daughter who knows what he is capable of doing to others. This is why I also believe he should spend the rest of his life in prison
DeleteI agree with you Jackie, Morgan definitely acted recklessly because he knew exactly what he was doing when he killed his own daughter. That’s why he should spend the rest of his life in prison.
DeleteI agree with you Jackie. Morgan knew what he was doing. He shouldn't be put back into society because he is a threat. Since he killed his own daughter then he would kill anyone else that come in his way to show that he is in "control" of everything.
DeleteI think that Morgan did act recklessly because he already had too much going on and he just wanted to prove a point but sadly he killed his daughter to prove that point. He should get life in prison without parole because he obviously needs help and it will be much safer for others if he stays behind bars.
ReplyDeleteI agree, no one should ever even consider killing their children just to prove a point or show that they are in control. Morgan has serious issues and I believe that the only thing that can be done is to sentence him to life in prison. This is the only way we can be sure he will never hurt anyone again.
DeleteI believe Morgan was being reckless but at the same time he deliberately acted on killing his daughter since he had already planned it ahead of time. Since it was premeditated murder and it was to a minor who had no chance in self defense I strongly believe Morgan should be given the maximum sentence of life in prison without parole. If this man was capable of his own daughter who knows what he is capable of doing to others. He needs to be in prison for the rest of his life where we can be assured that he will not hurt anyone else.
ReplyDeleteI believe Arthur Morgan acted recklessly by killing his own daughter. An innocent child was killed just to prove a point. No father should kill his daughter to only prove a point. He should have full responsibility over this case whether it was recklessly or deliberately. By killing his young daughter this man showed everyone that he is not mentally right in the head and he needs to put away. I would give this man life in prison without the chance of parole.
ReplyDeleteI believe Arthur acted deliberately because he planned on proving a point to his wife and the world by killing his daughter. He should be given the maximum punishment because the 2 year old had no chance of defending herself. Since the death penalty is not applicable in this situation, Arthur deserves life in prison without parole. I also believe he should be on suicide watch, so he doesn't take the cowardly way out.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Giovanni that he should get the maximum punishment for killing the Defenseless child. I also believe that the should put him on suicide watch so he doesn't take the easy way out. He deserves to rot in a prison cell for the rest of his meaningless life.

ReplyDeleteI believe Arthur Morgan acted recklessly, but he also knew what he was doing. The fact that he needed to kill his daughter to prove a point is wrong. No father should ever do that and get away with it. New Jersey should have the death penalty but since they don’t, I would give Arthur Morgan life in prison without parole. The toddler didn’t know what was happening, so she didn’t have the chance to defend herself. If the man was capable of murdering his own daughter then he would probably do it to someone else. He is a risk to society and should be put away for a very long time. Also, maybe something in his head has gone wrong and he obviously needs physiatrist help, so he won’t harm anyone else or himself.
ReplyDelete1. I honestly do agree with crystal and believe that he was acting way too recklessly with his downward spiraled life. The toddler had no fault in his crushed life and I believe that he should be ashamed for the horrible crime that he has committed.
ReplyDelete2. Because the state of New Jersey has no death penalty I would give him life in prison without parole and a $100,000 bond. I would let this man suffer in prison for the rest of his life for taking away the life of an innocent child.
This man acted deliberately, killing he’s daughter to prove a point to his wife that he was “in charge” is just unbelievable. He was upset with his wife and took it out on he’s innocent daughter. Now in prison he will know who is actually in charge. If New Jersey does not have a death penalty, then he deserves life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Vanessa because there must really be something wrong with him if that’s how he wants to show his wife that he’s in control. He must really need some professional help to get that nasty way of thinking out of his head and I hope that he learns his lesson with the sentence he receives.
DeleteI believe that Morgan was acting recklessly and he knew what he was doing. I think that he planned the whole thing in order for him and his daughter to be alone and tie the tire iron onto to the baby car seat. If I where the judge I would give him life in prison with no chance of parole. He shouldn’t ever get the chance to taste freedom or even the chance to live because he ended that little baby’s life now she would never have the chance to be successful. She had nothing to do with any of their arguments he had no right to kill her and end her life so short there must really be something wrong with his head to kill his own baby and should be kept away from other people. To make sure he never hurts another toddler ever again.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe that Arthur Morgana acted deliberately. Morgana killed his daughter trying to prove a point showing to his wife that he was in charge. Morgana know that his daughter wasn’t going to survive after tossing her to the creek. He consciously planned the murder. Since New Jersey don’t have the death penalty I would give him life in prison.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe that he did act deliberately. Why would he kill his 2 year old daughter for? To prove that he was in control? He murdered his own blood! That does not prove anything. If he thought killing his daughter was to prove to the world he was in charge, he obviously had planned it. What kind of father would do that to a child? He knew what he was doing. Since he had enough courage to kill his daughter, then he should have enough courage to pay the price for his actions. I would give him life in prison without parole.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you Zuleika I agree that he did plan this reckless act of cruelty because it would take planning to commit such a crime especially to your own daughter. It would take planning just to even get that thought in your head to throw the baby into a creek and let her drown.
DeleteI believe that Arthur Morgana was acting deliberately. He killed his daughter knowingly just to prove a point to his wife. He clearly planned the murder and since New Jersey don’t have a death penalty, I would give him two life sentencing.
ReplyDelete
