Welcome to week
seventeen. This week’s blog consists of a 20 year old female named Holly Bobo
that was last seen April 13, 2011. 3 suspects are under arrest and
investigation in connection to Holly’s disappearance. Her body is still not
found. Zachary Adams is Holly’s former boyfriend.
Please
review video and article information prior to noting your perspective. Hence, the prior post was deemed by my first period b class as too vague for each
of them to comment, so we have decided collectively to insert the video as well
as the article. Additionally, if you have commented based on the prior post please
select edit and or remove your post.

sanction should each suspect receive?
2. Why
should they get that sanction? Do you believe the suspects were all really involved
or just Zachary?
In my opinion i think each suspect should receive life in prison without parole. I Think they are all involve in some way but the main one is Zachary.The suspects probably help with the kidnapping and murder of Holly Bobo.

DeleteI agree with you Victor. I do think they all had a role in her kidnapping. Her boyfriend, Zachary, I believe was the ring leader. They should all get life in prison especially since her body hasn't been found.

Yes, that's exactly right Victor I too believe that they should both get life in prison. They both knew what they were doing so now they need to face the consequences of their actions.
DeleteIn my perspective I believe the three suspects should receive life in prison without parole. The reason they should receive life in prison is because they were involved in the murder and kidnap of Holly Bobo. However, in my perspective I believe the suspects were all really involved in the murder of Holly Bobo because maybe they were helping Zachary Adams to kill her. Yet the main suspect Zachary Adams is the boyfriend of Holly Bobo and we could be suspicious that it could be him with the connection of Holly murder.

DeleteI agree with your opinion, I feel that they were involved with the crime. Especially Zachary Adams, he was the most suspicious person of the crime since he is Holly's boyfriend. The other guys probably helped Zachary hide the body somewhere so police couldn't locate her. Without a doubt, they deserve life in prison without parole.

DeleteI agree with you as well crystal, I believe that this was part of her boyfriends idea to get rid of her. You made a good point, enough evidence should be found to make justice. I would give them all life in prison, taking the life of an innocent person is the worst.

DeleteZachary Adams Holly’s boyfriend should be sentenced to life in prison without parole it seems to be like he was the one that lead the group to committee the crime. Jason Autry of 39 should be sentenced to life in prison without as well because even after he kidnapped Holly continued to commit another assault. The third man Shayne Austin should be sentenced to 60 years without parole yes he was with them but he was cooperating with police about the case. I do believe that all three men were involved because the second man has a history of committing crime and the third man was giving police information about the case so he must have been there with them.

DeleteI agree with you Alba, I believe that Zachary was the main one who lead the crime of Holly Bobo the fact that he was her boyfriend and that he is the first suspect. I say that he should get life in prison without parole because he committed crime after crime along with the other 3 suspects they should get 50 years in prison without parole.
DeleteI don't agree with you Maria, the other 3 suspects shouldn't just get 50 years in prison without parole for MURDER. That's ridiculous, and maybe you should put yourself in the victims' shoes. A murderer, no matter if it is by associate, is still a murderer. You shouldn't just let them off the hook.

I don't think that the other inmates were with him because Zachary could of done it by himself without no help and it took a lot of time to get the other suspect.

I agree with the statement that they weren't with Adams, therefore their sanction shouldn't be as lengthy. If Adams is convicted, I would give him a lot longer than forty years because he did take away a life.
DeleteThat is a light sentence for a capital murder charge. They killed the long student who had much to live for. She will never get that chance to live her life ever again. The family will not get to spend time with her. Their lives will ever be changed. They should get the death penalty..

I believe they all know where the body is located. They should all pay the price for killing the victim. Although there is still no motive, Zachary had a long criminal history with the law. He is the one who decided to kill Holly and get rid of her body.
DeleteThey should all receive the death penalty. All three of them had a roll in the disappearance. Adams is suspected of being the main one to kill Holly Bobo. The second suspect was charge with kidnapping and murder which, if found guilty, can give him the death penalty. The third was indicted will most likely be charged with murder as well. They each played their role. Even if they were just there, watching, they could of stopped the attack. That way, Holly Bobo would still be here.

DeleteIt would be ridiculous to give them all the same sanction. Death isn't something to be taken lightly. That's someone's life. Keep in mind two wrongs do not make a right. The idea of a criminal justice system is to right a wrong and create justice. What lesson will be learned with extra lives lost and mourning families. One possibly could deserve the death penalty for having the most prominent involvement, but for the other two, a couple years behind bars would suffice.

I agree with you that they should each receive the same sentence. All of them knew exactly what they were going to do and therefore they should get there sentence for what they committed. One thing I don’t see is that you should have elaborated more in your comment so that we can see the reasons of why you decided what you said.
DeleteI agree with you, Francisco Mr. Adams does deserve to in prison for the rest of life. But there is not sufficient evidence for the other two individuals. We all know exactly they all did the crime, but innocent until proven guilty. Also, I agree with you that Mr. Adams was the main one who plotted the whole crime.

DeleteZachary Adams deserves life in prison without parole only if a body is found and his confession is on record because the law is, "innocent until proven guilty" right? So, we should abide by that. As for the other two individuals being indicted, I think further investigation should be conjured up before they were placed in jail. I don't really think they had much involvement in the crime. They probably had knowledge of it, but even that, they should serve less severe sanctions because they weren't at total fault.

DeleteI absolutely agree with you Maria the investigation should be continued to be thoroughly searched for the other two individuals. I believe these men should rot in prison and die , therefore they should receive life in prison. Just their knowledge in the murder of Holly Bobo is all that is to go upon.
DeleteI believe all three suspects should be let out at least with a bond. Yes, they're ebing charged with a very serious crime, but there is no proof that they kidnapped her nor killed her. The body of Holly Bobo is not yet found, I don't think it's fair for three individuals should be in jail what happened to "innocent until proven guilty." There is no evidence that they harmed the girl, only a guy that claims was there.
ReplyDeleteThey might not have any evidence at the moment stating that those three individuals committed the crimes that they are being accused of, but they do have the testimony of one of the suspects which is enough to hold them until they find evidence. I disagree with you that the suspects should have gotten a bond because they might leave the state if they are released.
DeleteI believe that the suspects should each receive life in prison without parole. The reason for this is because they killed her, and yes they should receive the death penalty. But in this case they would “suffer”, meaning that they would understand what they committed. The consequences of what they did.
ReplyDeleteFor the second question that was explained on the top question, but for the other part I believe that one did commit the act of killing her but yet they have not shown evidence of the other people. Now is not just two but there is three of them that are being looked at. So for this question yea one should be charged (Zachary) but for the other one they should point the evidence that they need.
I believe that Zachary Adams should be given the death penalty for committing especially aggravated kidnapping and first degree murder. As stated by the law a suspect can get the death penalty when they commit a crime within a crime, and that is what Mr. Zachary Adams did. As for the other two suspects they should be given life in prison without parole for aiding Mr. Zachary Adams commit his crimes.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that they should be charged with anything due to lack of evidence. I am a firm believer of justice being served but if all the police have to go on is a hunch or hypothesis then they should work harder to prove their theories. To add insult to injury one of the suspects is already incarcerated for. different case against him, if he is ccommitted he coukd be place in death row. These are people's lives that the criminal justice system is messing with and after reading this blog they have no evidence to back up their theories.
ReplyDeleteIn a way I could agree with you their are many people in prison and an death row that are innocent. They spend many years of their life going thru the legal system just to prove their innocence. I don't mind the wheels of justice being slow but the prosecution and detectives have had time to investigate and still are continuing but, I'm sure they just didn't pull his name out of a hat and take it to place him in jail or his other accomplices.
DeleteI honestly believe that there is not enough information in this blog. It is hard to figure out what kind of sanctions each individual should receive, due to the Holly Bobo case, in 2011. Maybe if there was just a little more information, then we could figure out what kind of sanction the individuals could receive. Secondly, in this case, it states that all three individuals are suspected to being involved in the missing appearance of Holly Bobo, but in reality there is not enough information. Finally, all three individuals should be investigated a little more so we can figure out what is the actual truth about the case of Holly Bobo.
ReplyDeleteThey actually provided us with links to get more information about the case, I don’t know if you went to check them out. But I did go to the links to view more information, unfortunately those links where quite ambiguous as well. So I went to do my own research and found out that the court doesn’t have very solid evidence to sentence the men they have imprisoned, well at least in my opinion. Although the men did have previous criminal records if that helps.

DeleteYes but how can justice start to work if theirs not a case , followed by the evidence that all leads to the suspect or suspects in a case. With the disappearance of Holly Bobo that's the start of the case but police can't give all the information out to the public and have that work against their case. It would have been nice to receive more information before making sanctions and guesses but until they go to court and a judge and jury hear the evidence we are still waiting and doing what ifs.

DeleteIn my honest opinion I believe that Zachary Adams should be given the death penalty. He committed a crime within a crime and therefor should be given the death penalty. He had aggravated kidnapping and first degree murder. Now the people that aiding him while he was doing the crime should get life in prison.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. What he did was inhumane. Her family will never get to see her again. However, I want to know, what about the other two? Do you think the other two should be punished or set free.
DeleteI do not agree with the sanction you are giving the men who aided Zachary Adams in the murder of Holly Bobo. Why would you give one the death penalty if the others where as much a part of the heinous crime? It simply seems very unfair to me that all the others are given a less severe punishment. I feel like in a way they are getting away for what they did to Holly and her family.

Also the same charges as Zachary the same charges his friends that were involved should be charge, life in prison without parole.

I believe Zachary Adams and Jason Autry deserve this sanction because after researching them I found out that Jason Autry along with Zachary Adams have had a previous criminal record that involve robbery and narcotics. Autry has even attempted to escape prison. I know this is not solid evidence but this two men have been criminals throughout their lives, so why wouldn’t they succumb themselves to murdering an innocent person? They obviously have no regards for rules so they probably decided one day to kill twenty year old Holly Bobo. They are friends who helped each other in to commit murder.

What would stop him from murdering someone? They were friends and I strongly believe they planned out when they would kidnap her, where they would kidnap her, and how they were going to kill her. DeleteI believe that Adams is guilty based on the information found as of now. If I am correct and he is indeed guilty than I believe he should receive the death penalty. The fact that Holly Bobo body has still not been found only goes to further prove that her disappearance and possible murder was in fact intentional. As for the two other individuals I don't think there is enough information to actually convict them of any crime related to Bobo 's disappearance.

I want to know what was going through their mind during the crime itself. I can't imagine how three individuals can kidnap and murder someone all at once.

He also committed a crime within a crime therefore, he deserves the death penalty. Holly Bobo was kidnapped and then killed by three suspects, but the master mind had to be her boyfriend. ReplyDeleteThat makes no sense what so ever. Why would you sentence a man to life without parole because they have not found the victim's bidy yet. If anything that's all the more reason to not sanction the man because there is a possible reason that he could not be the offender.
DeleteI agree with shawnise, they can't just charge a man without any evidence. They must know he's guilty for them to even try and give him the death penalty. He has done a horrific crime and he's going to pay for it sooner or later.
DeleteI agree with Shawnise as well. There have been people who have been sentenced with the death penalty who are actually innocent. And like she said, if they haven't found her body yet it's more of a reason not to sanction him with anything until evidence is found that ties him to the crime.
DeleteI would give Zachary life in prison without parole for the murder of his girlfriend Holly Bobo. I would give the other suspects 20-25 years in prison without parole for their involvement in the murder of Holly Bobo. The suspects could have put a stop to Bobo's murder they could have gotten help or even told the police. The evidence tells what happen and who did it. Zachary and/or the suspects should tell police where Holly Bobo's remains are at so Bobo's family can have a little peace and may have a proper burial for her.
ReplyDeleteHow do you know that the other two were actually involved with her disappearance? This is the problem our criminal justice system today we are so swept up in the crime and the possible offenders that we forget to refer to the actual evidence.
DeleteSince more information has been provided I do believe that the offender should be placed on death row. Although I feel that the conviction would be sure to go the way that the prosecution wants if a motive was determined. I still feel that more information should be provided in order to prove that hollys ex boyfriend is the person responsible for her abduction and her murder.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, there's not enough information to determine who was really responsible for Holly going missing. It could have been one of the suspects or someone else, but whoever was responsible for this should be given life in prison with parole if the body is found.

DeleteI agree with you that he should receive the death penalty. He was done way too many crimes and he seriously has gotten away with every single one of them including a murder. Adams committed a crime within a crime so the death penalty should be an option for him. Also, more information should be provided but it already seems like Adams is a bit crazy since police found bizarre things in his home.
DeleteZachary Adams deserves the death penalty for kidnapping and murdering Holly Bobo. He basically committed a crime within a crime. He had previously assaulted his own mother at the age of 19. If he had the nerve to assault the woman that gave him life, why would he not murder his girlfriend? He has no respect for women because he also assaulted the victim’s sister. Holly Bobo was forcibly taken from her home three years ago and the perpetrator had to be someone who knew the victim. Adams also had drug problems. The other two accomplices deserve life in prison because they helped kidnap, murder and hide Bobo’s body.

DeleteI agree with you he attacked his mother and other women for no reason and he has other offences. He should get life in prison or the death penalty and the other two men should get life as well.

But we don't really know of any evidence to of who it is, for all we know it could have been her brother and he is just trying to cover it up but making lies. Well the officials said there could be more than 1 suspect involved and are looking for information so to me the case has not been closed.

So I do believe that he should just receive the death penalty because he has done way too many evil things. He should just be stopped because Holly Bobo’s family should get the answers they need. As for the other suspects they may have been a part of the crime but they should be well investigated. We do not need to put down innocent people. They should at least be put in prison to make sure they do not try to run away.

They haven't found her body and don't have enough evidence to convict the three men at the moment. I do believe that the three men are connected in some way of the murder of holly bobo.

Also I believe, more information should be provided to determine who really did this to Holly. Out of the other two perpetrators involved, Zachary was the ringleader and came up with the plan while the other two helped execute it. I would give the other two offenders life in prison without parole for helping Zachary kidnap and murder Holly. They also had a previous record. These men have no intentions to follow the laws so I believe they should be put away for good.

I think Zachary should receive the death penalty because he kidnapped a girl and then killed her and hid her body for three years. That’s a crime within a crime, so he can basically get the death penalty. The other accomplices are cruel but I don’t think they were fully involved like Zachary.

Jason Autry should be sentenced to life in prison without parole as well because even after he kidnapped Holly continued to commit another assault. But we don't really know of any evidence to of who it is, for all we know it could have been her brother and he is just trying to cover it up but making lies. Well the officials said there could be more than 1 suspect involved and are looking for information so to me the case has not been closed.

If they both committed the crime then yes they should serve time in prison. The evidence released by officials does not convince me that it was any of these suspects, yes they have criminal records but we can't be so quick to point and say he did it without for sure evidence.

Though, there really isn't enough information about the other two suspects to be able to indict. As for Zachary he did have some criminal records in his prior to be able to indict him with life in prison or maybe the death penalty. What ever the case might be they shouldn't let him off with a small punishment. A crime is a crime and what they did isn't acceptable.

DeleteI believe Zachary Adams and the other suspect are all involved in the disappearance of Holly Bobo. Because one criminal cannot cover up a murder and hide the body somewhere that investigators couldn't locate; he probably need help from other guys he trust with this act. Furthermore, it's most likely the second suspect who cooperate Zachary since he had a crime history. So they should be in life sentence in prison without parole since they were all accountable in this crime, unless they solve this disappearance case.

However if Holly's body is found and there is enough evidence to connect any of the suspects to her death then they should be sentenced to the death penalty, assuming they were involved in both her kidnapping and murder.
